It started with curiosity — and a fair amount of scepticism.
About five years ago, I had my first Reiki session. I didn't really know what to expect, and part of me was still wondering whether I'd feel anything at all.
I did.
The experience stayed with me, not because it suddenly answered every question in my life, but because of how different I felt afterwards — lighter, calmer and more connected to myself.
That curiosity eventually led me to Reiki Level 1, where the focus was on understanding the energy, self-practice and working with the natural world. I continued to Level 2, which allowed me to begin practising Reiki with other people.
Over the years, Reiki became something I kept returning to rather than something I simply completed a course in.
Where it led
Later, I discovered Akashic Readings.
After experiencing a reading for myself, I wanted to understand the practice more deeply and went on to complete an in-depth, two-stage training, with each level taking place over several weeks and was supported by continued practice.
Akashic work opened another door for me.
My interest in meditation, consciousness, personal development and other forms of spiritual work deepened, so I went and explored practices including sound healing, family constellation work, numerology, intuitive Tarot readings, and Kundalini-related practices. Some of these have remained areas of personal interest and study, while others became practices I chose to train in more deeply.
I later trained in Kundalini Reiki as a complementary practice.
But at some point, I also stopped feeling the need to keep chasing the next course.
There will always be another method, another variation and another qualification available. I realised I didn't want to collect certificates simply for the sake of adding another service to a website.
Reiki and Akashic Records work had already given me more than enough to explore.
Both are deep practices in their own right. They take training, time, continued practice and a willingness to do some honest work with yourself along the way.
For me, these two practices have already changed the way I understand myself and move through life for the better.
The value isn't in how many different methods I can say I know.
It's in how deeply I understand and work with the ones I choose to practise.
Why Blooming Bay
What stayed with me through all of this was the value of having somewhere to stop for a while.
Somewhere you don't need to perform, have the right answer or explain yourself perfectly.
Somewhere you can pay attention to what is actually going on underneath everything else.
That is what I wanted Blooming Bay to become.
Not a place where someone tells you who you are or how to live your life.
Not somewhere you come because you need to be fixed.
Just a private, supportive space where you can explore, receive, reflect and reconnect with yourself in your own way.
My approach
Spirituality can look very different from one person to another.
Meditation, crystals, energy work and other practices have all been part of my own path, and for many people they can become meaningful parts of theirs too.
But you don't need to arrive at Blooming Bay already knowing or practising any of it.
You can be curious.
You can be sceptical.
You can ask questions.
You don't need to come in already believing. Just open enough to see what the experience brings for you.
My job isn't to convince you what you should experience.
It is to create the space, bring what I've learned and experienced into it, meet you where you are, and help you notice what the work brings up for you and how it works for you.
